Korean Service Medal

Authorized on November 8, 1950 and awarded to members of the United States Armed Forces for thirty consecutive days of service in Korea between June 27, 1950 and July 27, 1954. Also awarded to certain ships in Korean waters, units engaged in aerial missions over Korea, and units in direct support of the Korean War effort. A series of campaign stars were authorized for award with this medal.
