Multi-National Force and Observers Medal


Approval to accept and wear this award was granted by the Department of Defense on July 26, 1984. It is awarded to members of the United States Armed Forces who, after August 3, 1981, have served with the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) for at least 90 days. The MFO was created to act as a buffer between Egypt and Israel in the Sinai Peninsula.
